Questions, before you commit
Only if nothing sits between the draft and the send button. Session 7 builds four 30-second QA checks — fact, tone, voice and final eye — that run on every AI draft before it leaves your laptop, and every workflow you build in Session 5 names its own QA check. Your Session 2 pledge keeps anything that names a student or family, affects staff contracts or pay, goes to press or social media, or touches safeguarding under your eye and signature before it goes.
That depends on your week, which is why the course starts with a time audit rather than a list of tasks. In Session 1 you map your last week in 30-minute blocks and tag the reclaim candidates; in Session 3 you turn that into 4–6 pass/fail criteria that route each task to you, to AI with your sign-off, to your deputy or to the office. In the worked example, the Head of Hollybrook Primary routes the Friday staff bulletin, routine parent replies, the monthly newsletter and first drafts of the termly governor report into AI workflows — while anything that names a child stays with the Head.
A Personal Delegation Atlas: eight pieces, one from each session — time map, Delegation Boundary Pledge, delegation matrix, four prompt patterns, a five-workflow library, a Monday-to-Friday cadence, QA checkpoints and a 30-day integration plan. Any general-purpose AI assistant your school allows you to use. The course is copy-paste: you copy a prompt, run it in your own tool and save the response back into the course. Prompts that touch school-internal work carry a standard preamble that tells AI to refer to people by role rather than name, not to invent details about your school, and to flag drafts that need governor, HR or DSL review.
Eight sessions of about 25 minutes each — roughly 3.5 hours at a careful pace. It is self-paced and saves as you go. The last session is a 30-day integration plan, so the reclaim happens in your real weeks after the course, one workflow at a time.
