Build with AI

Build the tool
your class needs.

Then check it taught something.

Quizzes, simulations, models, explainers. Make something for your own classroom with AI, and take it all the way into a lesson.

Free to start. No account needed.

A brief. A first build. Something worth teaching.

The DEEP Build Loop

Brief it ↗ Build it ↗ Break it ↗ Fix it ↗ Teach it

Small tools. Real classroom needs.

You know the class.
Make the missing piece.

A question they keep getting wrong. A process they need to see. Start with one need, build one useful thing. These starter tools are ready to inspect and remix.

The part AI cannot do for you

Making a tool is easy now.
Making a good one is yours.

01Are the answers right?Check every answer and unit by hand.

02Can everyone open it?A finished page, with no student account needed.

03Did anyone learn? One check of learning, beyond whether they enjoyed it.

A process you can come back to

Any tool. Any AI. Your judgement at every stage.

The DEEP Build Loop

Brief it · Build it · Break it · Fix it · Teach it

A way to work, from the first idea to the lesson. Follow one small example through the loop.

Stage 1 of 5

Start with the learning.

Before asking AI to build anything, write down what a useful answer looks like. Your judgement gives the tool something to aim for.

Write the expected result first: 1/2 = 2/4.

Illustrative example

Equivalent fractions

The brief

Make a short quiz that asks learners to identify equivalent fractions.

1/2 = 2/4

1/2
2/4
Expected result

Both strips must show the same share of the whole.

Decide what good looks like.

Go further

From your first brief
to your own toolkit.

Start with the free kit today. The programmes take the same process further, from a first classroom tool to publishing and maintaining your own.

Build for your classroomIn development

Build Classroom Tools

Take one tool from a brief to a real lesson, with a check of learning. The first cohort is in development.

Explore Build Classroom Tools

For: Classroom teachers building a useful tool for their own learners.

What you work towards: One tested classroom tool, used in a lesson, with a check of what students learned.

  • Write a clear brief and success checks.
  • Build a quiz, simulation, model or explainer.
  • Test it with a colleague, repair it and use it in a lesson.
Publish and maintainIn development

Build: Next Level

Publish your tools on GitHub Pages and direct a coding agent: brief it, read what it changed, keep versions. For Build Classroom Tools graduates and school AI leads.

Explore Build: Next Level

For: Educators ready to work directly with code, course graduates and school AI leads.

What you work towards: The skills to publish, update and maintain a tested tool of your own.

  • Direct a coding agent and review its changes.
  • Keep versions and rerun tests when you make changes.
  • Publish on GitHub Pages and check that people can open the tool.

Registration is closed. Programme dates will be announced here.

Meet Alex

Before you start

A few good questions.

Any phase. Any subject.
Bring your classroom expertise.

When does the course start?

It is in development. This page will show the first cohort when it opens. In the meantime the Build Kit is free: the cards, the starter tools and the step-by-step tool guides.

Which AI do I need?

Whichever AI chat tool your school allows: Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT or Copilot. Every build ends as a file your students open with no account. Share the file, not a link: a Claude share link, for example, needs a Claude account to open.

Do my students use AI?

No. Students only open the finished page. Nothing student-facing calls AI, and no student names or data go into any prompt, file or tool.
