The Den is a professional community space for educators to connect, collaborate, and grow together. These guidelines help ensure a respectful and productive environment for all members.

Expected Behavior

Community members are expected to:

  • Be respectful and professional in all interactions
  • Stay on topic and contribute meaningfully to discussions
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to peers
  • Respect intellectual property and give proper credit
  • Maintain confidentiality when discussing sensitive school matters
  • Report inappropriate content or behavior to moderators
  • Engage with empathy and assume good intentions

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are not tolerated:

  • Harassment, bullying, or personal attacks
  • Discriminatory language or behavior
  • Spam, self-promotion, or commercial solicitation
  • Sharing false or misleading information
  • Posting inappropriate or offensive content
  • Violating privacy or sharing personal information without consent
  • Impersonating others or creating fake accounts
  • Disrupting discussions or trolling

Posting Guidelines

Discussion Posts

  • Use clear, descriptive titles
  • Stay focused on educational topics
  • Cite sources when referencing research
  • Be open to different viewpoints

Resource Sharing

  • Only share materials you have rights to distribute
  • Provide context and explanation for shared resources
  • Give credit to original creators
  • Ensure resources are relevant and high-quality

Content Moderation

Our moderation team reviews reported content and may:

  • Remove posts or comments that violate guidelines
  • Issue warnings to members
  • Temporarily suspend accounts for repeated violations
  • Permanently ban members for serious or persistent violations

Moderation decisions are made at the team's discretion to maintain a safe and productive community environment.

Intellectual Property

Respect copyright and intellectual property rights. Do not share copyrighted materials without permission. When sharing your own work, you retain ownership but grant the community permission to view and discuss it within the platform.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Do not share personal information about students, colleagues, or schools without explicit permission. When discussing classroom experiences, anonymize details to protect privacy.

Reporting Issues

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it using the reporting feature or contact our moderation team. All reports are reviewed promptly and confidentially.

These guidelines may be updated periodically. Continued participation in the community constitutes acceptance of the current guidelines.
